Not sure TJ... I would trust Dr. Willis' research but wonder what were the variables? Perhaps the pond had ample areas for the PS to hide? Also why I recommend giving the SMB a big jump start on the sunfish. Just to make sure there are plenty of bigger mouths to control the PS reproduction.
