The motor is a 1550 RPM fan motor off a refrigerated display case. It is mounted to the underside of the shade and the hub holds the wires in place. I used some #14 AWG solid copper wire for the whips. They seem to work fine. Total wattage of this light is about 70 watts. It has the photo cell on top and runs all night.
