Does the dam have to be beefed up any more than normal? Will it cause any wear to the dam or cause any problems?

half full concrete trucks, 20 tons on tri-axles
no problemo...in fact, probably good for compaction. RAH is right; if there is a pipe thru the dam, that would be the only consideration for concern.

much depends...
Are you going to use a simple primary spillway pipe thru the top of the dam, or a more sophisticated siphon system? Once that is determined, you have some homework to do to calculate the correct sizing for either system.

Once that is determined, you have some homework to do to calculate the correct sizing for either system. It would be a simple through the dam pipe. I guess I would need another pipe to go under the driveway for the emergency spillway too. I'll be back with more info once I get the pond size and all the specs. Thanks
