I plan to add some CNBG either this fall or early next spring and wanted to know if anyone on here has any experience with them in their pond in Oklahoma?
I have HBG in one pond, stocked a few adult Native BG in another pond, and would like to have CNBG in the last pond.
Not sure if they would make it through the winters here or not, I know it is not as cold as in the NE where they rarely survive but may still have issues here.
If anyone can help out that would be great, pictures from people in Oklahoma that have CNBG would be nice as well so I can see there growth potential here.
Thanks

I have then but I live in SW OK on the Texas line. They seem to be doing great. I intentially oversetocked them so their growth has not been outrageous in my main pond. In my CNBG pond where they get fed they are bigger, I have only had them about a year. They came in 3-5 and I would say they now about 8 inches. I dont have any current pics of them. I bet they would be ok in your area, but I dont know if they would thrive.
Get out and fish.

I put a few in this May but they were only 1-3 inches as that is all they had. I just hope they were not all eaten by the LMB and HBG.
I guess if I ever catch one we will know the answer to that.
Where did you get your fish from?

Mine came from Sulpher fish farm by Davis and from Overtons. They have done well. Paul

So what size did you stock, when were they stocked and how large are they now?
Do you feed them?
Do you have any pictures?
Do you know if Sulpher fish farm has a website?
Do you know of other fish farms in Oklahoma?
Thanks
