In 31 years as a professional fisheries biologist, I have never seen bullhead catfish in fathead minnows I've bought from reputable hatcheries.
I have gotten sticklebacks in fatheads from northern ponds.
Know your supplier. If they intend to stay in business for long, they won't sell contaminated fish.
Buy from reputable people.
