I see what you are getting at. I was looking at it from more of an accelerated growth rate perspective rather than maximum size.

Theoretically I would think that the hybrids should be able to attain greater size, but I would have to say that I haven't come across any evidence where the hybrid will without a doubt be larger than the parentals to a statistically significant degree.

This is probably because aquaculture operations are interested in shortening the time that it takes to get the fish to market rather than holding on to them for years to see the result.
