Does the HBG get larger than the GSF?

I was thinking that was a reason for not putting the GSF or HBG in a pond as you eventually end up with what is more likely the GSF which are inferior and ruin the Pond.

Maybe I misunderstood what I read but I was thinking that is what most have stated on here.

Please clarify if I am wrong.
