I have 200 acres and need help deciding where to build house. There are a few ponds but not in the best place on the land. Where do I find someone that can advise us on where to build on existing pond or build a new pond?

Welcome, 3oaks! Pond Boss is the place where you find a good reputable pond builder in East Texas! Mike Otto, one of the Pond Boss owners, is a dirt guy extraordinaire and if he can't do the job for you, I would suspect he has a recommendation as to who could. Hang on and some other folks will be along to share their ideas with you. How about some more details of your place, building site, and plans?

Here are some shots of the place. There are three ponds. The problem is the biggest ponds are on the least desirable part where the electric pylons run across the property. I am worried that won't be the place to develop for homes, better probably for livestock or fishing. The smallest pond is far from these but not as pretty. The prettiest place on the land doesnt have a pond at all.

Thanks! Just so much potential I don't know where to start or what I can afford. would like for the land to make some money to help pay. Lots of deer, wild hogs, blackberries and all hardwoods. Trees are huge!

Here is a pic of the cabin. The smallest pond is just behind it.

Mike is in Lindsay. That's between Muenster and Gainesville.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
