Thanks Omaha, next time I got it hopefully.
Photo #1 is my littlest polliwog. He is 4. This is a 3 lb Channel he reeled in all by himself. Was fumbling around with camera and got zoom stuck on. Had to let fish go before I figured out what I was doing. next fish was a 4 lb CC. He got tired half way in and handed pole to me.
#2 is my oldest at home. We had our best trip ever two days ago on a big pond I manage. LMB were boiling on the surface. Many both had fish on and 5 second hook ups. Even watched one take the bg in right next to boat. This one, it was 3 lb 2 oz. We caught 50 lmb and 54 bg this trip.
#4 is my 8 year old. I take all of my kids one on one so they get the best trips with my attention on them. This is another little fatty, 2 lb 14 oz. He caught 15 and just got tired. We got 45 total.
#3 same trip, this is a typical size lmb for this pond. You can catch 50, and maybe get one or two smaller. Has a little bg right outside it's mouth.
#5 my fish of the week, 5 lb 5 oz. I was actually fishing for dink LMB, 7" and smaller for relocate and was using a St. Croix 5'9" UL and a Quantum Energy PT spinning, E10. My best UL set up. I do have 8lb spider on it but I was using a grub and had a 4" lmb when this fish ate that fish. I just did not have the backbone to get it in and out of the weeds. It finally spit out the fish and I switched over to a heavier set up because it just sat there looking at me. Great fighter from a single species pond. Relocated it to a need LMB pond, with 18 dinks. I did use that same ul outfit from the boat working the creeping water primrose outside in, weedless with a 4" worm splitshotting. As soon as the worm fell off the primrose and dropped into the water I'd get a strike. I got 10 to 2 lbs on that set up. Bent the pole 180, pretty awesome feel. And that was in one pass along one weedline in 15 minutes at dusk. I stopped counting totals after 50 lmb that day.
