I'm thinking that the 10-incher (middle dude) was on a spawning bed, and the others were done for a few days. All went back into the pond after they got their mug shots taken.
I must say that the rooster tail was one of the most fun lures I've used in my pond. My fish are very wary of artificial lures. I was surprised at how well it worked. I won't use it tomorrow or the next day, but I plan to try it again on Sunday.
Now, I just have to find something appropriate to put in the traveling lure box before I send it out on Monday.
