One of my favorite handles on the forum! You can raise trophy YP in the presence of other fish. Cecil, Dave Willis and Bill are the resident experts on YP - but I think you can make a trophy YP pond with SMB, RES or even HSB. I should have some YP reaching the 13"+ mark this fall, and they share the pond with multiple species.
