I'm getting ready to head up to the parent's place in Northern Wisconsin for the 4th of July weekend. Musky were all over the place when I was fishing for bass back in late May, so I'm hoping for a good Esox season.
I have been bending some bucktails in anticipation and thought that pond boss should see how we do it in Minnesota/Wisconsin.
Top is about 9.25", ~1.3 ounces, double #8 chartreuse indiana blades, 4/0 treble, magnum flashabou + black buck tail.
Bottom is about 8.5", ~1 ounce, double #7 gold-hammered indiana blades, 4/0 treble, magnum flashabou tail.
Bending my own saves a lot, I can make them in about thirty minutes for under $10. These would cost $15 and up in stores.
I need to get a few large colorado blades in chartreuse or fluorescent orange and make up some >11" single blade night fishing bucktails.
