my new buddy
came home from going out to dinner w/ DWIED last night (a rare event in itself) and this fella was there to greet me.....
not the largest i've seen around here, but cool nonetheless.

Dave, I buy them from Walmart - but it is hit and miss on whether they have them in stock. Don't buy the plastic tray traps - you need the cardboard, paper thin ones. They are roughly $2 for 4 of them. They can be folded into a little box, but I keep them flat. I can sometimes find them at local hardware stores, but have not ever seen them at HomeDepot or Lowes. You can buy from this site also. www.brown-recluse.com They are more expensive from there, but they have them. I also bought my first aid kit from this site. I believe that the owner of this company was a university researcher who is an expert on BRS and made a business of it. We have a lot of visitors at our ranch and in the event a family member or visitor gets bit it was worth it for the peace of mind of purchasing one of these kits. I should have bought 2 because they are discounted if you buy 2. It makes sense to have one at the ranch and one at our primary residence.

I've never seen a brown recluse but have seen the results of people who have been bitten by them. Nasty!!
