OK. Sorry it is already afternoon, but we had baseball this morning.
So here is the detailed report of round 2 of our Traveling Lure outing. Scott came by for an evening of fishing and ralaxing. What a perfect day it was.
A buddy of my son's came over for some fishing and archery practice. He struck first. This was Max's very first cast with the jointed minnow. LMB about 12 1/2 inches.
This was his second cast with the Rooster Tail.
Another LMB caught witht the jointed minnow.
Scott and I got in on the action too.
Scott, you got the HSB on the jointed minnow. Right?
We also caught some more LMB and HSB. Scott showed me some of the flies Georg tied. NICE GEORGE! Some hungry LMB were fooled by those works of art.
We got so worn out from catching fish that we took a break to grill some dogs and brats. It was a great evening.
One more pic. Scott, here is the rooster pheasant that has been visiting the pond for a drink that I was telling you about. Caught him sneeking in when we got back home from the ball park. Kinda hard to see him, but he is dead center of the picture.
This has really been fun. I can't wait to see the lures travel the remainder of the summer.
