SS, yes the diffusers put in pure oxygen into the water. We use both oxygen and agitator especially with trout because it helps break up Co2 in the hauling tank. The smalelr the bubbles the more transfer you get with the diffuser I recommend point four system. To clarify a surface agitator does put oxygen in the water in the pond.
