How do gar taste? Like pike?
Very mild, hardly any fishy smell or taste. Chews and tastes a lot like lean pork. Good fried, BBQ'd, grilled, or in a tomato-based sauce. Large bones are not a problem. Cleaning is not hard once you get a little practice.
