There are a few freshwater power plant lakes in Texas that supposedly have been stocked with Redfish(Red Drum). Is anyone familiar with these lakes and is there something that makes them different from any other lake aside from the warm water temps and would it be possible to stock a few Reds in a pond in a mild climate like southern Louisiana for novelty species? I think they raise redfish in ponds for food but I suspect they're saltwater ponds.

Two issues... Keeping the water warm enough and the water body big enough to not have wide swings in water temp too fast.
