I put about 10 grass carp in my pond last spring but I have only seen 2 giants. One half of the pond is looking a lot clearer of the pondweed I have. I am starting to see sandy bottom where before it was all pondweed. Hoping that they are going to control it now. I was really doubting they could get the job done and I hope that they have.

Great news, what size pond did you put them in.
Im having no luck really with 9 per acre to control coontail in a 25-30 acre lake.

my pond is about an acre. I would say over the last couple years it was 90-95% pondweed. Pond filled up about 4-5 years ago and then the pondweed came in. Has been great for my fish but unfortunately it is kinda hard to fish a pond full of pondweed. You have a good sized body of water. I would think you would need more than 9 per acre, but I am no expert.
