I believe they are legal to stock without permit, but call to verify.

You need bumper stickers "America Loves Tilapia" better yet "America Loves Rainman's Tilapia"! sure to go over big.........except perhaps far southern Florida. lol

Mark, my blues are the only legal tilapia in south Florida.
The second bumper sticker suggestion might be a tad arrogant...lol but thanks!

I stock ponds in AL with both tilapia and shad. Give my office a call if you want a price. I will be stocking tilapia in AL for the next few weeks. 205-333-3665
