Many people are already helping others fish in their lakes. Here are some ideas that might help.

Start small. Pick out one or two groups you'd like to work with and limit it to them. Most people are happy with one trip a year. We don't let anyone fish our lake unless either my wife or I are fishing with them. In practical terms, that means deciding how many 2-3 hour periods I want to send hosting some one.

So many people come to me and say that they helped so and so fish. They wonder if they can bring their grandkids out and they will follow all of the rules. My answer is almost always NO. Occassionally they get mad but I explain that the lake is only for the groups I had out and no one else. They may not like it but most people respect it.

There is a bottom line...it is your lake and you can have anyone fishing or refuse permission to fish that you wish.
