SK63, that has been an issue with me too, ever since this pond was stocked 2 yrs. ago. I think is has to do with the high protein of AQ max and they know the BG will always be there. Just a few pellets=1 3" bg in food value. They also dont have to expend any energy for a pellet. Even I know to get in the longest line at the BBQ cookoff.
Hopefully as the larger BG start hitting the feed heavier, the bass will go after the BG more. I have never observed the bass in a predatory behavior around the feeder. It seems they like to hem the BG up in shallow water before attacking. throw some pellets near shore and watch what happens.
