That picture just makes my stomach churn and my brain angry. I'm missing another shad season! Oh well.
I can't think of any other fishing that is so much fun. For anybody who hasn't had the pleasure of fishing for these critters, it is just crazy fun. They come up the tidal rivers of the Chesapeake Bay by the thousands in April, give or take a few weeks. Most people, like Travis, fish with two tiny lures on the line. If you happen to hook two at a time, I can only liken it to trying to give two feral cats a bath in a small tub.
