We lined a 1 acre pond with hypalon in 1990 and have had zero issues.It is seamed and install was headed up by a CO outfit, using local contractors.
Sides are STEEP. We have gas vents around the perimiter as well.
Looking at PVC now,for another project, due to huge increase in price over last 20 years.
