It is already 2 months past time to plant onions and no one in my neck of the woods has a garden in yet because it has been to wet. The only person that attempted it (the garden guru in or neihborhood)set back and watched his rout in the ground and then get covered in 12 inches of snow.
You can just buy Onion sets, and good to go.
