Great site here. I got to do some reading here and slowly learning about what I need. I stocked my pond about 2.5 years ago with channel cats and blue gills. My pond is about 1/5 acre maybe average about 6 feet deep. Last year I had a major fish kill when the hot weather hit. I was also very surprized that the catfish were breeding after 1 full year. I finally got my home built which means I have power at the pond.
I want to aerate my pond to keep from future fish kills. I need to get the grand kids to fish it hard for me. Now I am thinking of getting a 1/4 Horsepower Air Blower, Gast. 15 psi max pressure. 4-1/2 cfm open flow. 115/230 volt. Gast part # 0523101QSG588DX and match a bottom diffuser. Am I on the right track with the Gast? If so what brand/model bottom difuser should be used? I need to get this going soon before I end up having all my large catfish dying on me again.
