Dwight is the river level and pond level about the same?
The river level is currently higher though they will converge. Shortly after the convergence the pond level will be higher than the river. Of course, if there is a big enough rain event it can turn right back around. It is a very dynamic environment for a pit type pond with no man-made inlet or outlet.
