Ed, I see the same black clouds of baby cats in my pond. It was stocked with channel cat and bluegill last fall this past april I added bass. I was told that I would not see the bass eating the baby cat but rather they would slowly disappear. I think that instead of panicing you should wait and let the bass take care of your problem.
