I do the same with my fish hauling tank and my Freshflow aerator. I got tired of worrying if the battery was holding up, and subsequent batter changes on a long trip. I do bring at least one battery as a back up in case something goes wrong but I haven't needed it yet.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
