They are on our approved species list.
Sure would be interesting to get a bunch in a 3-400 gallon tank and see how they fare. I think we have one producer in MI, haven't checked for a while, but will.

I would like to know what the boss thinks about this a fish that tast like lobster what a great ideal will it grow in Tennessee do thay sell in stores what a great commerciol fish. please respond on this may be a artical in P.B.MAG.

This fish was/is subject to a reare fishing method in Norway.
"Kubbe fiske" translated "Bat fishing"
In the winter they come in to realy shallow water under the ice,
When spotted the bat(basebalbat) or kubbe was hammerd in to the ice
knoking the fish unconshes, then you make a hole in the ice and pick up the fish.
The fish was higely valued for it's strong skin.
Nice meat I dont agree that it taste like lobster, no more than saltwater cod does.
But it taste realy good thats for sure, common all over Norway, usualy 1-3 pounds but record fish on rod 50 pounds.
A lot of sport fishers throw them out because they look ugly.

I hate to sound judgmental, but the entire cod family is ugly as a mud fence.
But,,, they're as tasty as they are ugly.

I don't think they taste like lobster, but the meat is way good cubed and boiled in 7up. They do make a carp look pretty though.

But,,, they're as tasty as they are ugly. They don't call 'em lawyer fish for nothin'. Rich in taste and ugly! Sorry Eric!  Of course you're the exception.
