That is a healthy, fat with eggs or perch NP. If you catch it again next year and it is over 30 inches you will know it's a girl. Even at 27" I am figuring female, with the big belly being eggs. She would have to be pretty ravenous to get to 38" by this time next year. I have noticed that NP seem to favor winter and cold water, but you gotta admire their mean, nasty, bad attitudes for sure.
