I have taken both of mine apart multiple times ans like reels after the first couple of times the secret hidden spring goes flying you will be as comfortable with them as any reel.
Esshup is right, call or email Tim, if he doesn't have the parts he can steer you in the right direction. Some of those old guns are collectors items, many of the newer models have plastic and nylon parts replacing the steel and brass of the old ones.
