The bearded Sunil even bears a passing resemblance to ULL, right down to the lagging lids and mouth in the positive "O" position after a night of drinking Banks' Keystone Lights at the last PBC [if rumor holds true].

That will not be needed. You guys surely know Sunil has a 1/2 inch stainless pipe from his new house to the brewery. He will not be running low unless all power to the brewery is off for 60 days.

Luckily, I was able to restock on my every day drinking beer, Peroni.

It got real close though.

While I was able to make it out of my driveway on Monday morning, I was unable to make it up my driveway on Wednesday evening. I could only reflect, with woe and sadness, if I would have had to haul my briefcase and a case of beer up the driveway.

If things got slick, I would have been in a quandry as to whether to drop my briefcase (w/ laptop inside) or drop the case of beer (in bottles).

These are real character building days up in here.

Man Sunil I love peroni its good have you ever been to Italy? I was over there for 8 months spent most my time on the island of Sardegna. They make a beer there called Ichnusa my favorite beer ever the only problem is that they dont export it anywhere not even the main land.

As I was geezing on my way to Ye Olde Folks Home this evening, I was again thinking about regional Pond Boss get-togethers.

I was envisioning Sunil, Todd, Travis (CJBS), me, and a bunch of PB crazies and groupies from the local 4-state area. As Sunil sampled all the pilsners, porters, stouts, and other fine fermented beverages before hitting the road for his pond -- CJBS could arrest and control him, while Todd defended him -- and I could sneak away with all the fine evidence!

Anybody up for a "Cabin Fever PB Conference" somewhere a few miles either side of I-68?

Let's try to get one done in March or April. Maybe May so we could be sure to get a fish on.

And why to I have to be the one to get arrested?

Road Kill Cafe in Artemas, PA? Or, how about somewhere off I-68 in Garrett County, MD, or Preston County, WV?

Maybe one of the ski resorts, like WISP or Cannaan Valley.

Or, how about downtown Accident, MD. What a great place for an accidental PB get-together. I just can't remember if there is a good place for a small gathering in Accident.

I'd love to do this. Those are some good ideas for locales, Ken. Don't forget the Deep Creek, MD, area either as it's pretty well located and certainly has plenty of options for a gathering.

We should do it at one of our ponds. I do offer mine, but I might be a tad north for some.

Rocky Gap State Park is an excellent place right off I-68. It's about 10 miles east of Cumberland, MD. Lake Habeeb is there which has some of the finest sunfish fishing around. BG, RES, RBS, PS... Even a few dreaded GSF! Plenty of them push 1 pound and I have caught a couple pushing 2 pounds in the lake over the years. Lots of bass in the 2-4 pound range with fish over 10 pounds. Even some smallmouth too. They stock it with trout each spring and the lake is deep enough to hold trout year round. Obviously, an MD license would be needed to fish. There is a nice resort, hotel, restaurants, golf course and pavilions. Sort of centrally located as well. If we do it earlier in the year the crowds are minimal to absent. I can certainly welcome anyone to the trout stream behind our hunting cabin in Artemas, PA. We typically stock 100 plus trout each spring so the fishing is usually pretty good and we always put a few rainbows over 20" in and some years a few brown trout hold over making things interesting. As Ken said, Road Kill Cafe is about 10-15 minutes from our hunting cabin. But our hunting cabin is seriously in the middle of nowhere and just got 40"+ of snow which may not melt til July! HAHA

That's a good spot, too. I've always liked the look of it driving past, but have never been there. Depending on who all is interested in joining together, that could also be a great location - probably only 2 hours away for me.

Wow. I didn't even know that place existed. I'm probably the closest -- not more than an hour away.

When Lynda looked at it, she said there would probably be up seven of us -- our son, daughter-in-law, the three grandkids (granddaughter age 7, and 14 y.o. boy/girl twins), plus us. We'd probably rent a cabin or stay in the Chalet. I can bring two canoes and a kayak.

I'm guessing the place fills up pretty fast, so we probably need to pick a date soon. Having stayed at number of similar parks before, we've learned to be on the phone making reservations at 8:00 AM on the day they open the telephone lines (April 2, this year).

The only hard dates not currently available for us is the weekend of April 30 - May 2.

With all that said, I'd certainly consider other alternatives. Sunil's place would not be too far for us. As I mentioned above, anyplace within 30-40 miles either side of I-68 would be fine with us. Our place(s) are available too. I need to get the trout out of my pond my mid-May, we've got plenty of room for camping, and we aren't that far from civilization (Winchester is about 20 minutes away).

My place is a camping, no electric, port-a-john kind of place.

There are hotels w/in 5 miles.

We can do a day trip or overnight.
