Knotted netting tends to beat fish up, at least when used in landing nets. Not sure how it would affect the fish in the lift net use... I would think knotless would also provide less drag allowing you the ability to lift the net faster and catch more fish. At least those are my opinions on the subject. Bill Cody has a lot more experience using lift nets than I do, so he may have an opinion.
