I did some googling:
MI state record HSB is 10.75 lb taken out of the Kalamazoo River. 1996
Gun Lake, 219 acres, has a population of HSB
HSB have been in Lake Michigan since 1997. (sampling done near Indiana)
Walleye fisherman regularly catch HSB in LM by Indiana.
Every state surrounding MI produces HSB and there have been releases into the great lakes.
