I agree. The dam area is good but you may want to add a little brush to each pile on the deep water side. For example one pile as is and add some about 3 feet out in front in deeper water so one pile is in 3 ft and one in 6 feet.

WRT Greg's comment about bunching I agree also. For example in your pic below take the 3 pieces on the right and put them in a triangle (just like in the pic) but add about 1 more foot between them. So that the limb ends of one are about 2 ft from the limb ends of each of the others.
