HSB are also banned in VA. They don't want them escaping ponds and getting into the rivers and backcrossing with native striped bass. What is ironic is that the VDGIF used to stock 1,000's of HSB into public waters. It wasn't until the 90's did they have a change of heart. They still stock them into western drainages that flow into the Mississippi and not the Atlantic.
