That kinda reminds me of something my old West Texas farmer Grandfather told me. I had been beaten up by some school yard bullies. I think I was about 6 or 7 years old.

Paraphrasing his words. Boy, sometimes you're gonna have to take a butt whuppin. Generally, those handing it out are enjoying it more than you are. Next time it happens, wade in and see if you can make it just as enjoyable for them as they're making it for you. You'll enjoy it even more if you ambush them one at a time and get in the first lick.

Females are in a whole different class. There, I don't ever remember winning. I also don't remember Granddaddy winning when Grandma got wound up.
