I noticed something different than what I was doing, and I'm going to change my technique because of it. I was putting the tag in more of a 90* angle to the fish instead of coming from the rear going forward like is shown in the video. It makes sense to do that (rearward to forward).

Was that fin punched with a hole punch when the fish was smaller?
