It's cheaper to run the air line if all you're looking for is aeration. However, I'm with Theo. If you can get power to the pond without too much expense, do it.
Battery chargers, pumps, lights, lighted boathouse, frig for beer, tv for watching the game on the pond bank while fishing .....
