Ordered my Stubby Steve's yesterday. I'm tired of throwing some pelltes, then fishing with worms and have the BG ignore the worm or even sunken pellets on a hook. \:o

I went out this eve for a few minutes to test out my new outfit w/4# line. Caught a HSB (1#) and one
of the rainbows stocked in Nov. I used a roostertail. Had to quit after 10 minutes - too cold (about 35).

Too cold?? I would love to see 35 degrees. It is 7 degrees right now with a -8 wind chill (western burgs of Chicago). Suppose to get down to 3 tonight. It was -1 this morning when I headed out the door to goose hunt.

Actually fished the White river below Bull Shoals Dam on Monday and it was in the upper 30s. Fished 3 hours and caught over 20 rainbows.

What size were the rainbows lassig?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Took out a group ice fishing on New Years Day. Bass were stacked up in 6-8 foot of water over weed beds and bluegill were congregated in 13-15 foot of water off the side of the dam. After I got done filleting the fish I weighed the meat pile at 16 lbs, and we only kept half the fish we caught! I also caught the absolute biggest bluegill ever through the ice!! I'm thinking its going to crush the existing world record!!!

That might be the ice fishing BG record, Nate, but I landed a bigger one from open water last Spring.

I dont have a 2010 fishing license yet so its a good thing I dont have to worry about submitting mine for the world record. I never realized so many forum members have caught such insanely huge bluegill. Aquamax or Silver Cup???

Oh and before you yell at me George, please keep in mind that I didn't start this thread disruption. (I have no desire to be beat like a rented mule). \:D

Bruce and Cat's seem to be pure bluegill, but I'm afraid Nate and Theo's look to be GG hybrids.
Not sure about the pollywog; would have to get a closer look....and I ain't goin' there!

I really think that pollywog is really a catfish, or a photochopped pollywog/catfish hybrid. I ain't seen no frogs that big!

I'm more concerned about the guy! Why doesn't he appear to be wearing anything below his shirt, except that giant polliwog?
