I agree. The dam area is good but you may want to add a little brush to each pile on the deep water side. For example one pile as is and add some about 3 feet out in front in deeper water so one pile is in 3 ft and one in 6 feet. WRT Greg's comment about bunching I agree also. For example in your pic below take the 3 pieces on the right and put them in a triangle (just like in the pic) but add about 1 more foot between them. So that the limb ends of one are about 2 ft from the limb ends of each of the others.

I prefer using some of the structure to make fish highways/travel routes from deep to shallow water.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
