I think you are onto something here...picture this:

Pond 1: Trophy BG and get your LMB thinned to the point where you are seeing some growth, say lots of 3-4# with an occasional 7+

Pond 2: SMB, Redears, YP, HSB

You can spend half the day catching pig BG and LMB then walk 50 ft and catch 4 other trophy species. Can be done...how cool would that be?
