If you are used to using a spinning reel, look for one with a large diameter spool. That will increase your casting distance.
I've got some different reel/rod/line combo's and a good laser rangefinder. If I can find the time I'll do some casting comparisons and note the distances. I'm sure that I have both those lures and I'll try 'em both.
