From another post, Cecil talked about some Pumpkinseeds and I always assumed they were Long Ear Sunfish since that is what we call a Pumpkinseed around these parts...but apparently not so.
what i need is some "real" pics of both species for comparisons. I can find plenty of drawings but nothing like the real pics to distinguish species.
I appreciate any help in this matter....

Longear Sunfish (Lepomis megalotis)  Pumpkinseed Sunfish (Lepomis gibbosus) 
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
