Has anybody put these in your pond. This is the name (missouri minnows) I keep getting from the bait shops.They are the only minnow they sell. I having a lot of trouble finding the fat head minnows. I'm just trying to see if they would work.

TWood, Missouri minnows just might be regualr fatheads that are being advertised as "Missouri minnows" in FL. I found this on a google search, hopefully someone else knows for sure. http://www.floridatoday.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050226/SPORTS05/502260312/-1/opinionz In most cases, anglers are using live minnows, sometimes advertised as Missouri minnows, which are available at most fishing camps and freshwater tackle shops

Thanks guys. After making numerous phone calls I have found some answers. I talked to a Fisherie and he told me that the fathead minnows for some reason do not reproduce quickly in Fla. He said that he would suggest a mosquito minnow. He said they reproduce very quickly in this climate. I also found out that the minnows in the bait shops around here are sterile  This guy has been stocking ponds in florida for 30 years so I guess he knows what he's talking about. Let me know what ya'll think
