Hello Sterling and welcome to Pond Boss.

Are you having issues with your pond?

Are you concerned about the bottom structure of your pond?

Is the pond holding water?

Do you have fish in the pond?

If yes, what species of fish are in the pond?

What are your goals for the pond?

Thanks for joining in, we're glad you found us.

Im not having issues but I don't want to make any more mistakes. Not extremly worried about the bottom structure at this time. It looks to be holding water now. I plan to stock fatheads, bluegills (coppernose) and largemouth bass. My goals are to #1 fun for faimly and friends. #2 food source. #3 relax. I need all the help I can get I have made enough mistakes allready.

I have not tested the water yet, should I go ahead with the line if so how much, I have been told 1 ton would work. The pond is just getting full. I plan to stock in early spring. How about fertilizer for plankton or vegatation. Man Im glad I found this site Im sending off for my subscription monday this is great!

Sterling, I think liming would be premature without a water test. Go to the TAMU website. They have instructions regarding taking a water sample and sending it to them for analysis. It USUALLY comes back with recommendations for lime if needed. If they don't do a recommendation, post the results here.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
