Ich, in blue catfish, is triggered by rapid rises and falls of water temperature. They do fine in the wild, where there's bigger water that doesn't change temps so fast.
I'm not suggesting you not bring them to Nebraska. I'm suggesting due diligence in deciding. No sense paying $240 for a fish, plus transport, if you see a massive body floating later this fall.
Transport can sure be an issue...but professional haulers are good at what they do.
If that includes crushing For Sale signs and killing off plastic muskrats, I qualify!
