This question is for Pondmeisters that have experience with or knowledge of HSB / Y. Perch management. Again; this is a new 3.5 acre pond, 13 ft. deep, perennial inflow, fairly clear water, located on the Nebraska/Wyoming State line. I am very interested in this fishery combination and would appreciate some advice.
QUESTION: Will the Yellow Perch REQUIRE small fish (fatheads) as a forage base even if I plan on supplemental pellet feeding?
Any ideas on whether this combination will work and what would be your initial stocking recomendations for HSB, YP, and Fatheads?
Also; some have mentioned that 4 acres (not 3.5) is the minimum acerage recomendation for a HSB fishery?
Thanks for all your help!
Ed
