Not at all pie in the sky. Lots of folks here have a quality fishery with 2 -3 pound LMB. Raising a trophy bass on the other hand is an entirely different matter and would require a different management plan. But your stated goal of consistent catch of 2 - 3 pounds should be way doable (is that even a word?). This is especially true given that you are feeding. At one of Bob Lusk's ponds on Sunday, I witnessed him run a feeder with huge pellets designed specifically for LMB. It was amazing to watch the bass feed. They hit the pellets with the vigor of hitting live prey. They jumped completely out of the water when attacking a pellet. Quite an amazing site. I wish I had a video camera with me at the time.

Oh and by the way, I'm no expert, it's just that I've been to the Pond Boss conference so I feel like one. \:D
