I would also suggest that you purchase the book "Raising Trophy Bass." You can click on the "Pond Boss Store" link in the upper left had corner. It is a great book that describes the food chain required for LMB. Even if you're not after trophy bass it is a great book IMHO.

It is very important that you get an assessment of the pond. Find out what species of fish are in the pond and in what relative numbers. In other words how many forage fish per predator fish. If you have more than one large predator (for example LMB and Channel Cat) then this will have an impact on your course of action. Before a plan can be recommended you must first determine what you have going on currently. But that's just this idiot's opinion. Hang on for a better answer.
